UPDATE: (10:10 p.m.): Roy McGrath has died, according to his attorney, Joseph Murtha. “The loss of Roy’s life is a terrible tragedy and I think it is important for me to say on his behalf that he has never changed his innocence,” Murthy told 11 News. According to the US Marshal’s Office and the FBI’s Baltimore branch, Roy McGrath has been located by authorities in Tennessee. In a statement, the FBI said, “We are reviewing an agent-involved shooting that occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 3. While arrested, Roy McGrath was injured and transported to the hospital. Larry Hogan cutting $233,000 to become Hogan’s chief of staff. Hogan denied the severance, and McGrath stepped down as head coach in August 2020. The FBI and US Marshals Office offered rewards of up to $20,000 for information leading to his arrest. McGrath was indicted on October 5, 2021. Allegations of wire fraud and theft or bribery. McGrath’s attorney, Joseph Murtha, told 11 News that he could not comment until Monday evening.
