NHC 91-L improves growth opportunity for investment; This system is expected to bring rain to Florida

The first investment of a season will be named Invest 90-L. “L” means it is in the Atlantic Ocean (“A” is reserved for investing in the Arabian Sea and “E” is for areas in the Eastern Pacific Ocean). The numbers repeat, meaning that the second investment of a season will receive the name Invest 91-L. After the 99-L investment, the numbers are recycled back to 90.
The purpose of the numbers is only to indicate which disturbance is being monitored, as there is usually more than one occurrence at the same time.
