LIVE UPDATES: Biden drops out of 2024 presidential race, endorses Kamala Harris

On Saturday, his new running mate, Ohio Sen. Joined JD Vance.

The two were greeted by a packed crowd at an indoor arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In his first joint interview with Vance, Trump mentioned that he noticed someone on the roof before the assassination attempt at his rally last weekend.

Supported by Musk: Trump said he spoke with tech billionaire Elon Musk before arriving at the Grand Rapids rally. The former president said Musk did not mention giving the pro-Trump super PAC about $45 million a month to the Wall Street Journal.

About world leaders: Trump said Chinese President Xi Jinping and other world leaders wrote to him after the assassination attempt. He said he was “a great man who got along very well with President Xi,” adding that he also worked well with other world leaders. America on the World Stage.

The Biden campaign’s response: President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign blasted Trump’s comments at the rally, saying Trump was “only focused on himself.”

“He spreads the same lies, runs the same campaign of revenge and revenge, talks about the same failed policies, and – as usual – focuses only on himself. The only commonality we see today is between Donald Trump, JT Vance and their Project 2025 agenda.” Biden campaign spokesman Ammar Moussa said in a statement.

Project 2025 refers to a policy blueprint developed by a conservative think tank. Democrats have held on to some of the document’s more controversial right-wing proposals, while Trump has tried to distance himself from the platform.
