King Charles has taken center stage at the COP28 climate conference in Dubai amid a row over royal racism.

Charles called for global action as the publication of Omid Scobie’s book Endgame dominated headlines in the UK, telling heads of state and government that the dangers of climate change were no longer “distant risks”.

The address came after the monarch, along with the Princess of Wales, were named as two senior royals who reportedly raised “concerns” about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s skin colour.
